2015 has proved an exciting year for me as I celebrated my 70th:

Rhapsody to a Plane Tree sMy Painting Trip to Alta Versilia in Tuscany in June with fellow alumni from the Florentine Studio of the 60’s and 70’s provided inspiration and stimulus. The opportunity enabled me to establish a sense of direction, purpose and focus. It also helped me to realise how much nature in all its riches inspires me; the moods of the mountains in different weather conditions, the wild-life and wonders of the flora and fauna. These are two of the oils I’ve been working on over the autumn months.

Meeting companions for a cappuccino at the local bar in Stazzema inspired me to get our local pub to open regularly for coffee. Now I’m enjoying the opportunity for both exercise (a good half-hour walk) and meeting local people to punctuate my working day!

In the New Year I’m looking forward to being Artist in Residence at the Nature in Art Museum, Wallsworth Hall, Twigworth, Gloucester, GL2 9PA

Jan. 26 to 31 . I’d be delighted to see you any time between 10am and 5pm. The National Wild Life Photographic exhibition will also be on display during this period, a good opportunity for a day out!
